The function of the belt conveyor tensioner device is very important, which ensures that there is suffient tension for the conveyor belt at the winding end of the conveyor drive pulley (the separation point between the conveyor belt and the drive pulley). It can gennerate a necessary friction between the drum and the conveyor belt to pevent the conveyor belt from slipping. It can also assure the tension of the conveyor belt not lower than a certain value thus to limit the sag of the conveyor belt between the supporting rollers as well as avoid material spreading and increase the movement resistance. The device can also compensate for the plastic elongation of the conveyor belt during operation and changes in elastic elongation under transition conditions.
